AGM & AUTUMN MEETING : FRIDAY 14TH NOVEMBER 2025

7PM FOR 7.30PM, BROCKENHURST VILLAGE HALL

The Friends of Brockenhurst Committee are delighted to announce that David Illsley, Interim Head of Planning at the New Forest National Park Authority will be our speaker for the Autumn meeting and AGM. Having previously been the Manager of Policy and Conservation, David will speak on two key topics that are of importance to Brockenhurst and the New Forest National Park, Flights and Local Government.
The number of flights over Brockenhurst has increased as there has been a significant increase in the planes using Bournemouth airport this year. Our representative on the Bournemouth Airport Consultative Committee is the NFNPA and so we will all get the opportunity to understand the current situation and find out more about what is happening with future flights and what changes are coming that will impact the flights over Brockenhurst.
David will also share with the audience the impact of the shake-up in local government on planning in the National Park. He will explore the effects of these changes, the current desire of the government to build significant new housing and how this will affect planning in the New Forest and in particular, Brockenhurst.
There will be a “Question and Answer” session at the end of the talk.
